The Morske Orgulje, is or Sea Organ, in Zadar, Croatia, is a truly unique piece of architecture. Conceived in 2005 by local architect Nikola Bašić, the organ uses the energy of the wind and the waves to create haunting sounds and harmonies. What looks like an ordinary set of steps rising from the sea, hides an awesome musical secret. Hidden away inside the steps are 35 organ pipes, each tuned to a different note on the diatonic scale.
